About

Three countries.
One direction.

I am Aditya, an Economics and Politics graduate from the University of Manchester, currently based in Ahmedabad. My career so far has spanned risk advisory at EY, commercial banking at Lloyds, digital transformation at HSBC, and strategy work with global brands at Connect Network.

What ties it together is a consistent interest in how markets, organisations, and consumers behave — and how good analysis translates into decisions that actually move things forward. I have worked across India, the UK, and Scotland, advising on everything from clean energy transitions and financial accessibility to outdoor media strategy for brands like Hitachi and Sony.

In September 2026, I will be joining ESADE Business School in Barcelona for my MSc in International Management and Finance, continuing a career path that has always been international by design rather than by accident.

Outside of work I train in boxing, follow global markets and geopolitics closely, and find coffee shops to be the best places to think. I also host a podcast, Shajwani's Notions, where I explore ideas at the edges of business, economics, and culture.

The Economics Behind Pret a Manger's Coffee Subscription
Co-written with Dr. Sofia Izquierdo Sanchez, this piece unpacks the behavioural economics driving Pret's subscription model — how loss aversion, habit formation, and footfall economics turned a £30 monthly pass into one of the most discussed moves in UK retail. Published on Daily Life Econ, the platform Dr. Sanchez runs to bring economic thinking into everyday life.

Hollywood, the Gender Pay Gap, and Brexit's Supply Chain Effect
A wide-ranging conversation with Dr. Sofia Izquierdo Sanchez covering three topics that sit at the intersection of economics and everyday culture. We explore why pay gaps in Hollywood mirror structural issues seen across industries, how Brexit quietly reshaped UK supply chains in ways consumers still feel, and what these stories tell us about how economics shapes the world we actually live in.

🥊
Boxing
I train in boxing for the discipline and mental clarity it demands. The focus it builds translates directly into how I approach complex problems and high-pressure environments.
Coffee Culture
Coffee is my lens for exploring cities, consumer behaviour, and human connection. Every café tells a story about a market and its community — I pay attention to that.
🌍
Markets and Geopolitics
I regularly follow developments in global markets, economic policy, and consumer-facing industries. These interests shape my professional direction toward international strategy and advisory.
